This card was inspired by children's and comic book illustrator
Jake Parker, whose motto
"finished,
not perfect" encouraged me to continue drawing and painting
after medical treatments led to a 2 year hiatus.
It's good to be reminded that things don't have to be perfect to
be wonderful, especially at the holidays. The three vignettes in
this design attempt to illustrate that. The first is a little Bichon
who doesn't care that her beau's mistletoe is on backwards, she's
just happy he loves her :-) The second depicts carolers who are
singing their hearts out, oblivious to the fact that they are off-key
(the guy in the middle noticed!) The third is a baby bichon just
missing the target when he tries to put the star on a classic Charlie
Brown tree.
